I went to Comikaze 2012 for the first time this year, and had to opportunity to shoot my friends in their Homestuck cosplays.

These characters were newly introduced just before the con, so bravo to them for churning these out in time!

I’m bad at updating

Have some sillies from a Homestuck shoot at AX2011! Viewed in succession, they’re like some sort of reaction photo to Hussie’s updates.

I went to Gallifrey One Network 23 this weekend and had the pleasure of shooting with Rachel and Kevin dressed as Rose Tyler and the 10th Doctor!

(For those who don’t know, Gallifrey One is the largest Doctor Who convention in the US, and this year was its 23rd consecutive year being held!)

I rented a Canon 16-35/2.8 to shoot with for the weekend and using it came with a bit of an adjustment period. The genre was different from my usual as well, so overall, shooting this weekend was one big learning experience!

Luckily, Rachel and Kevin are both fantastic cosplayers and had a great dynamic, so they covered up most of my mistakes. :)
